    Barred Rock or Cuckoo Marans chick?

    Barred rock.Not enough white on the face for a Marans. Female because of black on front of the legs and feet.

    I have some barred rock and barred rock x Rhode Island Red rooster chicks.Some of the chicks have lighter barring like the pure BR should. And some have darker barring like the females would. Which ones are the crosses and why?Disregard the white barred one.[/IMG]

    The ends have flat edges. Carefully separate the turner from the motor and move the side so that the flat edges on the pegs are vertical and slide pegs from the the racks upward out of the side.HTH

    Rooster no doubt about it. Look at the tail feathers.Plus the comb and wattles are too developed for a 14 wk old pullet.

    My roosters are RIR and BOxRIR. I like the crow of the mixed rooster and I think the chicks will be prettier too! If the chicken calculator is correct.

    My barred rocks turned 20 weeks on Wednesday(11/11/15) and still no eggs yet. Their combs and wattles are getting bright red.

    Checked the bator about an hour ago. Got 1 hatched and drying off with at least four more pipping! If half of them hatch I'll be tickled.
