I’ve had a trio of Muscovy ducks now for about 4 months now. 1 (black one) has been lethargic for about a week now. The other (white) is now in a swimming position and looks like it has no strength in legs. Any ideas to what may be going on?
Checked them out and yep the flock has been infiltrated! Nothing on the legs but mainly the ear and crown area. Cleaned out the coop and put some D earth down. Also sprayed them down with Permectrin. Hopefully that’ll help. Thank you a ton for the advice! You’re awesome!
My birds have recently been showing a little too much skin. Anyone have any idea what it could be? I checked for lice/mites and don't see anything but scab and feather. [/IMG][/IMG]
Thanks! I have 2 new females and they haven't sat yet. I'm hoping they'll sit once done and ready. They just hid their eggs too so I'm guessing they've built a nest somewhere.
Does anyone know if quails (specifically button) start sitting on eggs as soon as the 1st one is layed? Or do they wait to lay a whole clutch then do the sitting there after? How many eggs usually make a clutch?
Hola everyone,
I'm looking at adding nesting material for my doves. Any recommendations? I have 3 baskets in the aviary already but they prefer to poop in them and roost instead. Any advice would be more than helpful.
You can place her with another single button. When you place a single in with a pair it gets tricky. Either way I'd definetely be cautious and keep an eye out for the first hours of putting them together. Buttons are big on the pecking order and their space. Every experience is different. Good...
Same thing happened with my eggs. Only one chick hatched. It has been super interactive with me. It chirps and calls if it hears me nearby. Make sure to check it for paste butt occasionally! :) good luck
