    CORN

    hello - We have 15 hens and going into our second summer with them. We feed them corn on the cob and scratch that contains corn for treats. I remember reading somewhere that they shouldn't be fed corn in the hotter months. What temp is too high to give them their corn treats? Thoughts? thanks!

    Feeding fruit and veggies daily

    this is Chip... she is a silver laced wyandotte. we got two and named them Oreo and Chip(s ahoy). Oreo ended up to be a roo. not interested in breeding so we decided to rehome him. He was a beautiful roo though.

    Our hens started laying around Thanksgiving, we installed shop / flood lights hanging on the outside of the fence of their coop on a timer to allow them more "sunlight". We had consistent eggs all winter long. I do believe the light helped in this a lot especially since they had barely started...
