    I'm not sure why it is not good for dogs. My vet has huge poster in room that says 'top 10 dangers/poison for dogs'. Compost being one of them. My compost is the same as what you are saying. Maybe because of the worms?

    Is compost a danger to chickens? They love getting the worms out of my large compost pile. I just learned from my vet that compost is poison to my dogs. Does the same go for chickens?

    Beautiful picture Michael Oshay. Funny how our avatars are similar. Yes, that's my 3 year old daughter. She spends hours in the yard playing with them, finding worms and clover to give them. I also have two boys who fight to do the morning chicken chores so they can be the ones to get the eggs...

    Yes they've been laying for over a month. My kids and I really enjoy how each one has a different brown egg,so we know who is who's. Each one has consistently given us one egg a day! We don't have a rooster but the girl with white legs is the BOSS. thank you and I have tons of questions to come!
