One of my red sex links :) has white feet. Does anyone know why?

Sometimes birds just have non pigmented nails (only birds of prey have talons.) The birds pictured are red sex links - great producers of brown eggs.

Nice looking girls you have, are they laying yet? Red sex links are wonderful egg layers. We have 3 in our mixed flock and get big brown eggs from them almost every day.

Good luck with your birds and if you have questions, always feel free to ask.

Thanks for joining us!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You have a beautiful flock of Red Sex Links which are laying machines. Thanks for posting the pic. You should get loads of large, brown eggs from those girls.) If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your RSLs.

Yes they've been laying for over a month. My kids and I really enjoy how each one has a different brown egg,so we know who is who's. Each one has consistently given us one egg a day! We don't have a rooster but the girl with white legs is the BOSS. thank you and I have tons of questions to come!

You're welcome.)
