    Do you have any roosters? They are good for protecting and alerting your flock of danger, and maybe make a run, unless you already have one. Maybe make a Scarecrow or something there is many ways to avoid hawks, Goodluck to you and your hens! :fl

    What did you make from your garden today?

    Lunch sandwich! This was sooo delicious I made it with the eggs from our hens and we have a bunch of cherry tomatoes and basil ready from our garden, and also some onions we got today. I also like to sprinkle some habanero on top of it, I love spicy things!! :celebrate

    Yum, I love to put kale and apple in my juicer it makes a good smoothie with some other fruits! My chickens average about 6 eggs a day which is crazy good for me! They are fairly young though only 6-5 of my hens are laying though :goodpost:

    Raven! My Black Star pullet she loves to sleep on our lap and constantly follows us around and she is the softest of all my chickens ever! She loves hiding in the woods though, still she is the sweetest chicken ever! :love

    Yes! Depending on your breed of silkie they can come in all different sizes and sometimes the hen will be the same size as the rooster :)
