Hello! Wondering if anyone has ever dealt with an HOA that has a rule that states the following:
No animals shall be kept, maintained or quartered on any lot except that cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters or caged birds may be kept in reasonable numbers as pets for the pleasure of lot owners so long...
I'm moving to a house in a few weeks and my plan was to have my hens free range in the backyard. I just found out from the previous owner that they have been using a quarterly lawn company that treats the yard for weeds and fertilizes it. :( How long are these chemicals in the ground? Will my...
I have been house hunting in South Carolina for a place for me and my three hens. Wondering if anyone else has run into issues with a restrictive covenant (not HOA) that was written when the neighborhood was built? Do you find these are closely followed or enforced?? I know I could try to fight...
Thanks, I’m very familiar with the area (my sister has lived there for 7 years so we’ve seen Simpsonville grow just like you said!). I’m working with an agent and have nixed all new builds/cookie cutter HOA neighborhoods. My main concern is the city ordinances…. :( Mauldin City hall is telling...

Has anyone dealt...

Currently looking to move to SC but am running into problems with checking city/county ordinances. Does anyone here live in Mauldin or Simpsonville SC? I’m trying to figure out if I’m allowed to have hens? I know Greenville allows up to 8. Any help would be appreciated! Also, if you’re local...
She has not started laying yet so not sure if she is egg bound or not. I have also not dewormed them - they are 6 months old.. Maybe I should?? I just dropped her at the vet so hopefully will have a diagnosis quickly. Thank you for your reply - I appreciate it a lot.
