Is my Svart Hona a Rooster?

I have 3 Svart Honas and I thought I had a rooster but now I'm not sure. They are about 6-8 months old. One is exceptionally noisy. Struts around making loud squawks but I wouldn't call it a crow. It looks a little heavier than the other 2. Comb looks like a smaller version of the typical svart...

Svart Honas insist on sleeping outside in the freezing temperatures

I spent over a week putting them away by hand hoping they would get the message. They are in a fenced enclosure and roost on a roof prop so predators are no issue. Im just worried they will get sick.

Svart Honas insist on sleeping outside in the freezing temperatures

Hi, I have 3 Svart Honas that refuse to go into a heated coop on their own. During the summer months it was no problem. Baby Chick Help! Really need expert opinion

Thank you all for the input. There's one last egg that looks like it's getting kicked aside. I put the flock to bed and I noticed both Broody's are still sitting together with the chicks. Will they co raise or will it eventually come down to 1? Clearly this is my first time.

Baby Chick Help! Really need expert opinion

So here's a question, if remaining eggs don't hatch, should I toss them? Wil that affect the hens behavior?

Baby Chick Help! Really need expert opinion

Whole point of this was to raise chicks the natural way so I'm torn between letting the mothers do their thing or intervening.

Baby Chick Help! Really need expert opinion

So, the hens are in the coop with the rest of the flock. Originally I had one broody hen and gave a dozen eggs to hatch. Another hen came in and took half and made her own nest. The clutch continues to hatch and so far two chicks have been killed. I'm not sure if they are just getting...

Baby Chick Help! Really need expert opinion

So, as an experiment, I thought I would try and hatch my own eggs with my broody hen. I got a dozen fertilized eggs and had her sit on them. Over the course of the hatching period, another hen went broody and the two split the clutch. Only one has hatched so far. At first it seemed like the...
