    Honestly, I'm about as certain as I can be without a necropsy. I'm reading so many accounts of people losing whole flocks to them in my area...and they are BAD this year. The rest of our flock are doing great! We set up a big box fan in front of Penny's favorite hang out to keep the air moving...

    I'm certainly not against getting some corid and dosing them just to make sure, but I really don't think that was our problem. Have any of you had issues with buffalo gnats/black flies?

    No chemicals or toxins that we have used. Neighbor says he hasn't either. All poop looked totally normal

    Oh man... I may be having an epiphany. We have SO MANY biting gnats in our yard! They were swarming the chickens that were dead/dying but I thought it was just because they were too weak to get away! Could that be what killed them?!

    I'm in I'm in southern Indiana if that effects anything. I'll give another few days to make sure the rest of the flock really is healthy, then the kids and I will probably head out and bring home a half dozen new babies

    Yeah... That's my main comfort. There are 18 birds between mine and my neighbor's. Only 3 fell at this point. Everybody else seems fine. Thank you for humoring and reassuring me!❤
