Thanks everyone, you've helped me relax a little. My sister found out that her hen Pickles turned out to be a rooster....I said, that's what happens when you name a hen pickles LOL....but since then I've been worried. Glad to know they all look like girlies I'll try and get a good picture of...
Yeah, my light is kinda off in the pictures, Henrietta is def. a buff, she's just like the pictures I see. Thanks for all the help! I just hope the "red" ones are good hens!
One more question....could the redder ones be a cross? I've looked at pictures and they don't seem RED enough, or will that come as they get a lil older?
Oh thank you guys!! I had been questioning the 3 redder ones to be RIR because they've always been different than Henrietta. And SO glad that Jemima looks like a pullet! She's my girl <3 and with her I've questioned the BA as well because I though they were all black, so good to know what she...
Oh no! Don't say that, she's my favorite! lol...that would be my luck! And thank you, Henrietta is my other favorite <3 biggest sweetheart ever. I'll have to look up the BR, not familiar with them, and we were told she's a black australorp.
These are 8 weeks old, 4 BO, well I through my black australorp in there too So far, there's only 1 that really looks BUFF to me? Do I have all roosters? Please tell me no
Whew! They're already doing better. They were body checking her out of the way when she'd try to get food/water. She's eating/drinking now and they seem to be accepting now...she was the new girl at school for a little bit though! I thought I was going to have to sleep out in the living room tonight
My hubby felt bad he hadn't grabbed the australorp I was talking about, so he came home with her tonight. I put her in with my 4 Buff Orps and they're being aweful mean they aren't letting her at the food or water, and when she tries to rest they peck at her. What do I do??
