    New belgian chicken owner...

    I'm from the Leuven region in Belgium and rescued two white leghorn hens from the batteries. Last week I did get a young white leghorn rooster. I hope to find/get a lot of information on this site.

    egg without shell but blood

    One of my white leghorns did lay an egg this morning and there was blood all over it. A few hours later I found an egg without shell and some blood with it. I know it was the same chicken. Does anyone know what's going on or what I should be doing? Any help is welcome for this newbie
