Here’s an update of them. I lost 2 chicks since hatching. Now I just have 3 ameraucana, 1 brabanter and 2 Swedish flower. The three ameraucana and 1 of the Swedish might be boys based on their behaviour.
I have to ask the breeder where I got the eggs from. I have no idea I just know she told me the blue eggs are ameraucana. By the way they look fluffy and innocent but those puffy cheeks they eat like wolf lol
I recently hatched 3 ameraucana, they all have this wing and feather pattern so I’m wondering if anyone here have experience with sexing them at this stage. My Swedish flower has the same wing too. If they are all Roos then I have 2 chicks left that are hens 🤦🏻♀️ Thank you for helping me.
Here they are the 7 finalists that made it. 3 ameraucana, 1 favaucana, 1 brabanter and 2 Swedish flower. The little deformed one ended up dying after 3 days.
Day 23: 4 ameraucana, 1 Brabanter, 2 Swedish flower, the welsummer that started hatching stopped and when I tried to help I notice there’s no breathing so the chick already died. So far I got 7/15 eggs I’m hopeful a couple more will hatch and that’s it. I’m happy that’s more chicks than I...
Day 22! 3 ameraucana, 1 welsummer, 1 brown/black Swedish flower have 🐣 . 1 brabanter is on the way. I notice half of them are Roo so far lol including the Swedish flower. I was told by an Amish farmer the rooster will eventually end up in the pot 😅
Day 21 ! I came home from work at 17:00 the humidity went down to 59 so I added water until it jumped up to 77. I notice 2 ameraucana cracked 😃 then an hour later 1 welsummer cracked. Then nothing, they stopped cracking but the peeping remains, at this point I see hope. It means all the...
D20, not that anything has changed. 🙄 my partner who first saw the eggs and wanted to shake them to death is telling me to not give up yet and throw them in the garbage😆
I moved my incubator from the bathroom to the kitchen and then without realizing when I unplug and replug nurture right 360 , the machine fast forward a day. The night of the 17th day without checking my calendar I just lockdown the eggs based on the machine telling me it’s day 3. Then I moved...
