    Bump/wart on chickens beak

I've never seen this before. This round of leghorns I bought from Tractor Supply have been nothing but trouble. First of all they were suppose to be Amberlinks, and ended up being Leghorns. I've never owned leghorns. Maybe it's a characteristic of them, but this birds just dont seem to be very...

    Hatching Help

In my opinion (people have A LOT of opinions on humidity) your humidity isn't too high. The temp could be a little warmer, around like 99°. Humidity will fluctuate while chicks are hatching. Are you leaving them in the incubator after they hatch? Chicks can live in the incubator and survive...

    24hrs and counting

Alright, this guy pipped over 24hrs ago and has been like this for quite a while. It's a BCM. Still pretty active-- moving and chirping. My temp and humidity are both good. I've had 5 others hatch no problem. This is day 23. Its about 8:30pm here. Should I just leave it, go to bed, and see...

    Green Egg/Heavy Bloom/Pic

They mostly lay light blue eggs. I got this girl in the Spring. She was labeled either an Oliver egger...

    Angel Wing?

These are just "backyard mix" breed ducks that hatched in the spring. Just this week I noticed one holding its wings funny. Does this look like the start of Angel wing? Or something else? The wings dont stay close to the body like the other ducks. Hope the pictures help:

    Hawk attack, back of neck

Y'all were right! Chickens are amazingly resilient. We opted out of stitching it up, and decided not to give her an antibiotic. She recovered 100% except for a little bald spot on the back of her neck.. maybe I'll knit her a scarf for the winter ;) Thank you all soooo very much for all your...
