    Weird silkie

    I'm new to silkies and I'm not sure if this is normal or not but 1 of my silkies squats/walks backwards a lil/ and bends its head way back touching its back when it drinks water. And it bends its head back when I pick it up. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? Thank you for any info.

    That makes sense. I tried making a separate nest on the bottom of the coop but she didn't want to stay in it she kept getting off and i didn't make it good enough for her to where she couldn't get out of it so she kept going back to the other nest and that's how the first 3 didn't make it.     I found my only egg today broken and a little bloody. Is there anyway it can be saved? Or should I try buying more fertilized eggs and see if she'll sit on them till they are ready or will she get over it and just leave them?     I have 3 marans hatched May 15 and was wondering if someone can help me with the gender yet or is it too early to tell. I have 2 blues and 1 splash here are some pics. (FYI, I just painted there coop so they have pink paint on them) Thank you for your help I really appreciate it.

    I have a blue laced red wyandotte I'm guessing a roo but not 100% sure. i hear someone trying to cock-a-doodle-doo but when i go out to look i guess they get shy lol if this one is the culprit he will need a new home. (san diego) if anyone wants him he's yours for free!
