    I just made a awesome cover to my run! It required aluminum wire, wire cutters and plastic bird netting. I just strung the wire from ost, tree, and fence to make a frame. Like a circus tent. And threw the netting on top! No more hawks! [/IMG]

    What is the oldest chick you've ever given to a broody hen?

    I put four day old chicks under. It took two days to wake the hens up. Few days later I added two more. I have four more I need to add, but it is more about the chicks not accepting the moms. That's the key.
