So when looking in her mouth I don't see any obvious sore just maybe some brown areas from the sores that are actually on the outside but nothing stands out.
I've tried to clean the eye and get it open I made a little crease very carefully to try to drain any potential fluid but the whole area...
Yes she can see out of her other eye and is drinking plenty and eating some on her own. I also am taking the time daily to ensure she is getting enough water and food. her other eye thankfully is not horrible but still irritated.
The one that is scabbed up i carefully tried opening it today...
But as far as inside of her beak it looks pretty clear. The are just on the outside mainly. Am I supposed to disturb the scab of the eye and open it up completely ? Bc that is the only thing I have not done is bothered that eye too much only been keeping it clean and trying to
flush it and then...
She is rather calm and seeming lost at times which is sort of part of her not being able to see very well right now considering.
But she is a newer baby of ours that we rescued a month or so ago from an auction with 3 others. The others have no sign so far of this illness but she has always...
This poor baby has been having some eye trouble and i've quarantined her and been flushing her eye out multiple times daily while also using vetrx and terramycin to the eyes once cleaned. Giving plenty of electrolytes and tlc. Hoping this doesn't affect my whole flock. Any advice?
These are my girls, they are about 6 months old. Rosie, Penny, poppy and roxie. My kids named them. What breeds are they? I'm new to this stuff but we love them and spoil them rotten 🫶🏻
Yes poor things are all missing feathers and just look like they been through it😌 It's sad, I'm keeping them separate from my chickens until I know they are healthy enough.
So i'm new to this stuff so I am still learning tbh. Got my first four girls at Tractor Store as week old babies. Two are Rhode Island Reds. Maybe you can tell me what the brown and beige ones are. Here is a photo
Yes they absolutely have not had an easy start 😞 my first time at an auction of this sort and it was quite sad. I wanted to take every one of them home with me. They are on their way to being healthy and happy though with us 🫶🏻
Hi, I'm hoping to get some advice on these 4 new girls i rescued. They are about 9 weeks old and I was assured at the auction that they are all females. ( I was clear about not being able to take any roosters considering we already have one ) Let me know your opinion! Please and thanks

Hello everyone I'm new to having backyard chickens. We started with 4 about 6 months ago and now they are laying eggs and spoiled as ever. My kids love them and they are our babies. We decided to add 4 more girls to our flock which we rescued from an animal auction near our home.
