Looking to ID this rooster. He was given to me. They called him a buttercup but I dont have a standard of perfection to see if he matches the breed well.

I didnt even realize I left it crooked. I was mostly amused by the one in the back that looks like it has sass.

I appreciate the info. That site doesn't list the rarer colors of hookbill. I don't know what the differences between the colorations of snowy and aleutian.

So I have three hookbills and I can identify the colors on two of them one is dusky and the other is dusky-bibbed. I am curious as to the coloration of the 3rd one. So far I have come across three different names for it: Snowy, Harlequin-phased, and Aleutian. I just want to know for show...

Chick season is just starting and fingers crossed the only chicks I pick up are my own. But I am not gonna lie I am already talking to some people about some hens and a few friends for this guy here. He has been staying inside where I can monitor him and so he doesn't get lonely by himself.

Are you intending on looking for more in the future? My calls should start laying more next year.

I have been letting him soak in warm water with a small portion of ACV. I haven't been able to concoct a way to soak him in epson salt without him drinking the water. I haven't messed with the scabs but his feet are not hot or swollen in any way. Do I still need to remove them?

Sorry the picture is a little blurry he wasn't too happy with me holding him to get the picture. This is my drakes foot. He doesn't seem to have any issues or irritation with the foot. I just wanted to confirm what this was and the next steps would be before I made him go through any treatment...
