Injured duck leg with no sign of injury

Just as an update, after soaking their feet in Epsom salt twice yesterday and once this morning as well as finding and applying some Ichthammol ointment to their feet, they're walking much better today. There's still a slight limp, but it's not nearly as bad as it was for the past few days...

Injured duck leg with no sign of injury

Okay, that foot doesn't seem to be bothering them as it's working just fine, despite how it may look. That black little dot looks to be just a normal scab when I inspected it with nothing unusual about it (at least as far as I can tell). It'll still be soaking in the epsom salt with the other...

Injured duck leg with no sign of injury

Thanks for the help everyone! Ordered the ichthammol ointment and am giving them Epsom salt soaks to help their feet. I also took pics of their other foot. Do they also look like they might be infected? They're not having any issues walking on this foot yet, but want to make sure so I can...

Injured duck leg with no sign of injury

Just realized that it's going to take at least 4-6 days for the second salve to arrive since they don't sell it in stores. Since that's probably a bit too long to wait for the ointment, would the first option work just fine? Or would it be best to use something in the meantime while waiting...

Thank you so much! I found some of the lichthammol ointment online at TSC, but I'm not sure which one would be best to get. Do you happen to know which one would be best? Drawing Salve 1 Drawing Salve 2 I figured the first one would be best, but just want to be 100% sure.

I ran my finger over both their feet and don't really feel any sort of hard core. The bumps on their middle toe are slightly tougher and not as spongy as the rest of their foot, but doesn't really feel that hard. As for wrapping, I would definitely appreciate any info on that, as I've never...

Injured duck leg with no sign of injury

Really? I had no idea that it looked like that. I clean their cage every day, so I wouldn't think they would get it. Going to a vet really isn't an option since there's none anywhere near me that can see them anytime soon. Is there anything I can immediately do to try and help them?

This is a pic of their right feet, which are their affected legs. It looks normal to me, but maybe I'm missing something.

So I got some of the Vitamin B Complex linked earlier in this topic. Does anyone have any idea how much I should be giving them daily to help them recover?

Injured duck leg with no sign of injury

Just overnighted some Brewers Yeast from Amazon last night, so I'll thankfully be getting it this morning. Since they just started showing issues with walking a few days ago, I hope it's not too late and reversible, as I'll start giving it to them today. It breaks my heart every time I see...

Injured duck leg with no sign of injury

I was thinking that it might have been niacin deficiency, but I wasn't too sure. Their legs were splayed normally, so I never really suspected it until now. I'll try ordering some Brewer's Yeast through Amazon and hopefully that helps. Since they just recently started having issues, I hope...

Injured duck leg with no sign of injury

Hello all, I have a strange issue going on with the two ducks that I own and maybe someone might be able to help me figure out what's going on. So I have two male crested Pekin ducks and they live indoors with me. They're both two and a half years old and have not experienced any other health...

    Duck with Mucus in Eye

For the longest time one of my ducks keeps having (what I believe to be) mucus discharge from his eyes and I cannot figure what's going on with it. It's a clear mucus and he's not experiencing foamy eye and it makes the feathers around his eyes all crusty and needs to be scrubbed daily. He...

    Duck not eating

So I have 2 crested pekin ducks and they're both indoor ducks. Both have them have been acting perfectly fine except one suddenly stopped eating anything. He still drinks a lot of water and acts normally, wandering around the house, preening himself, etc (although he hasn't been quacking as...

    Drakes Suddenly Fighting

Thank you for the reply! Thankfully we're not planning on getting any hens. Should I worry about the bruises and cuts on their bills, or will they just be fine?
