    Animal broke in

Look into predator proof wire cloth. Unfortunately if a cat can get in so can predators. The wire cloth should be able to keep mice and rats out.

    Deter rodents humanely

Nope it’s feeding the wildlife. Hawks would wait for me at the relocation spot. I did not release near any houses(woods)

    Chicks dying

I frequent take the sick chicks from my local feed store. I was treating with and sulfadimethoxine and an antibiotic (amoxicillin or doxycycline) and if I did this right away (as soon as I get in the car) I’d get a high surviving rate. I’d get these chicks when they were actively dying. I feed...

    Blind little one

I have been showing her the location and she does not seem to want to peck the ground/down. I’ve dipped her beak in the water dish too. I am going to try one of those water bottles you hang. She could not stand when I got her but she had to been eating drinking something because I got her two...

    Deter rodents humanely

Outside I use wire cloth and the ratinator trap. Inside I have adopted cats. No rodent comes inside because I have 2 exceptional hunters who I found outside (one in a parking lot as a 3/4 month old and the other 8 years ago as a little bit kitten) . These two are black cats who know how to...

    Blind little one

Picked up this little one yesterday. Seems to have hatched without eyes. Anyone successfully raise a blind chick? I’ve been syringe feeding so far. Also what would cause a chick to hatch with their knee joint bending the opposite way? One leg was normal and the other was backward. I’ll pick...

I know someone who has strep (while i did not have strep maybe i carried in the germ and exposed...

    Weak hen

A few months (sept) back she and my rooster (he is a hero) were attacked by a raccoon. They were put on antibiotics and kept inside. There wounds have healed beautifully with feathers now covering them both. I have kept them inside to recover fully (we have gotten really cold weather and was...
