Woods Open Air Coop Design - Amish Built

Yes, but for thermal dynamics it’s not supposed to be symmetrical. It’s your coop so have it built however you want. But it’s not supposed to be symmetric. I’m getting ready to build one myself. The windows on the other side is not even with the side of the door.

    Can this marriage be saved?

So are you asking so you can get all these people to tell your husband to do it your way ? I am asking because the man lets you have chickens....let him have the watered wherever he wants to have it. Does it really matter? Seems like you should side with him unless he said. What does that...

Wow, I learned a lot from reading this! So, thank you for posting. Also, I am not sure how this works, but Murry McMurry Hatchery offers some sort of paper when you buy chicks from them. I noticed after I got mine. Going from memory, it said something like if you plan on showing, we can...

How do you identify your chickens?

See the girls in the pic? I can tell them all apart. :) mostly comb. They all developed different combs, but at first I named them and based on size I could pretty much tell them apart. And they Amelia was always the boss, so could tell that way.

First night out of the brooder

The pics are wonderful!! Love the feeders, I am setting up to make some myself and looking at some possibilities. I loose sleep the first night as well, unless I am sure it will be warm enough out. So I know how you feel.

Anyone keeping chickens secret from a HomeOwners Association?

Yes, I didn't mean to imply that the rules didn't apply, I was just wondering about HOA in a non-tract home situation. The original intent of allow them to make rules for areas was for close proximity. If you aren't in close then why was it formed. There could be rules for non- compliance as...
