    I treated her as though she was egg bound. She was isolated from the rest of the flock and given several warm baths. I also put her in a warm room for the night.     UPDATE: A little bit perkier this morning but still not great. I’m letting her continue to rest in the garage and giving her all the treats!

    No clips missing that I can see. We built the house a few years ago and the girls are constantly digging up little pieces of construction debris so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was that

    I was able to get in touch with a great vet here. She is pretty sure that zinc toxicity is what’s doing her in. I’m going to reach out to the vet school to see if I can get a kelation compound from them.

    Agreed. I don’t know enough about her anatomy to know if it’s going to pass or not and what to do to make it so. Im not optimistic since she won’t eat

    Lethargic. Dropping tail and not eating. I thought she was egg bound so have been treating her for that, but when nothing was working I took her to the vet and a very sweet tech gave her an X-ray to see if there was anything there and this was the result.

    Hi! Curious if anyone has any advice for me on how to help my girl. I’m thinking she is not going to make it but am reaching out in a last ditch effort to see if anyone has any advice. Here is her X-ray.
