OK, we had some losses. We also have a broody hen and a rare opportunity to just get a few day-old chicks. Can I just take the day olds and stick them under her? Will she think she hatched them and raise them as her own?
Also, we are out on the olympic peninsula....daytime highs are 60 at...
We just clip one but they still are roosting in the trees where the lower branch is 7 feet up. Every night we have to put two of them in the coop because they go to sleep on the roof.

My girls had a really hard time with the ramp up into the coop. It was their first experience with anything except level ground so we ended up putting little pieces of wood crosswise on it so they had better footing. Now that they're laying, they don't even use the ramp anymore so we took it out...
