Something got my male peacock. All I found of him were his beautiful tail feathers. Bummer I've had him since he was a tiny baby his hen keeps calling for him - so sad. Did my goat chores, fed the two ponies and my heifer. Let the Silkies and Cochins out for the day. Started cleaning the barn &...
Fainters & Mini Silkies. Sweet, Kind, Calm, Stay where they need to stay. No jumbing fences, no climbing etc. They make excellent mothers and I've never had an aggressive buck.
We had one. Wesley Walker was his name. Sweetness and loving was his game. He lived 13 years without any health or behavior issues at all. After he had just turned 13, the boys returned from being gone for a week at Summer camp one Sunday afternoon. It was as though he was waiting for them to...
I had them as a child. Like you said...you can't even put it into words. I eventually out grew them and only have had one as an adult. Maybe one or both of your kids have a chance of out growing them...I know it runs in your family but there is always a chance.
Now that you mention it...yes, I can see what you are saying about the bill being more "duck shaped" - I feel really bad for you. The guy that did this to you is a real jerk!
I can tell that you are pretty attached. I guess there's always the "permit" route...!!
Oh, I would be so mad! I guess I would probably call the Game Warden and I would give him the guy's contact info! Are you planning on replacing them with some embden goslings? How long have you had them...I bet you're already attached. I don't blame you on the permit thing. I've had a permit in...
Jack Daniels, why didn't I think of that? I was so wrapped up in my Epsom Salt RX I didn't even THINK of Jack! Send your newly graduated husband out for the Espsom Salts...you'll be glad you did. The cold Aloe Vera would feel oh, so much better on feet that have been soaked for about 30 minutes...
How old are they? Sometimes Roman's esp. females can have a few gray feathers mixed in here and there. I have one that is almost 2 and she still has a couple of gray feathers on her neck. I think it's a good sign that they are Romans because they have the blue eyes. When ever mine were crossed...
I one of those people that don't really think that geese are much protection against most preditors. I've lost geese to owls - during the day light hours and to a fox and a neighbor's dog. Mine free range all day and are locked safely away at night.
You might try Epsom salts - it may sting a little initially but it is what I use a lot when I have some sort of wound. It really seems to help the healing process along. I use them almost nightly in the tub. Good Luck...hope you feel better soon. Your poor feet sound so painful! Congrats to you...
