I have not watched SNL since I was in college. Overall, I think the show has just gone downhill, but I had to watch it Saturday since Betty was hosting. How could anyone miss that?! I have to say that while some of the skits were not as good, Betty more than made up for any weaknesses. Having her on makes up for years of bad shows as far as I am concerned. She was brilliant! Her mind is still sharp, as is her wit. Her delivery is perfect. She is truly a classic and an American treasure.

We've boycotted NBC ever since they shafted Conan, but when I saw that Betty White was hosting....I thought I might have to sneak a peek.

Then, of course, I forgot.

Have you guys heard that there's a push to have Betty White by Conan's sidekick on TBS this fall? Yep.. I dunno how well it would work out, but I'd absolutely LOVE IT if she'd at least come on as his sidekick for the first show, if only to acknowledge 'the movement,' as it were..

There's a ton of clips on youtube, if you missed it. My almost-twenty-year-old daughter watched it with me. First time we've sat down and watched a show together since I don't remember when. Kristen loves Sandra Bullock's movies, and she's been a Betty White fan since "The Proposal".

Every time there was a lull in the conversation, yesterday, one of us would say "The Wizard of @ss", and we'd fall out laughing. We're silly that way.
