    THAT MUST BE IT. THEY WERE ALWAYS SO CLEAN BEFORE NOW. SO USE SOAP AND BAKING SODA? TODAY SOME EGGS HAD THE GRIME ON SO THICK I SOAKED THEM.

    PINE CHIPS. IT SEEMS LIKE THERE WOULD HAVE TO BE WATER SOMEWHERE GENERATING THIS. THE PINE CHIPS SEEM TO KEEP IT DRY.

    It reallly isn't poop, like mud, grass etc. Some are clean but most now are dirty. Are they safe?

    YOU ARE SO RIGHT ABOUT HARSHNESS. I was wondering if I could put vasoline on it? Would it help?

    I have been gingerly peeling crustiness off. I gave it a sponge bath in that area. It is from the middle of the back to the tail. Is there any cream I can put on it? Still has a crusty f Seems fine otherwise. One other came at a day earlier and she is fine.

    What is upsetting is that the chicken was ripped open with organs exposed.Ugh!

    We spoke with seller. She said to discipline them - not harsh but firm. We did that all day outside yesterday.

    How do you train them? I thought protecting was instinctive; especially when you have been interacting with them for 4 weeks.
