BABY SILKIE CAME OUT OF INCUBATOR with a crusty back about three days ago.

I have been gingerly peeling crustiness off. I gave it a sponge bath in that area. It is from the middle of the back to the tail. Is there any cream I can put on it? Still has a crusty f Seems fine otherwise. One other came at a day earlier and she is fine.

X2, we need to see a pic. Get a wet toothbrush and scrub her real good. It will all fall off eventually anyway, and it shouldn't hurt her any.

I'd be careful in determining the force of a "scrub". Be very gentle. A toothbrush is pretty harsh. Remember, it's a baby.

No, don't put Vaseline on the chick. Just use water and a toothbrush. Give short little baths in warm water. That's all you can do. The Vaseline will destroy the down's purpose. It slicks it down and then the chick will get too cold and did.
