    Breeds that get along with Wyandottes and lay pretty eggs

    I have a small flock of Wyandottes consisting of 5 hens and one rooster. One of the hens is broody. So nows the chance to put some colorful eggs under her. What breed would go well with Wyandottes? Must be cold hardy.

    I let the chicken out in the run for some fresh air and they started eating the feathers that had been ripper off the hen that was attacked. Anyone know why? Thought that was strange. There are plenty of other feathers laying around but I've never seen them eat those.
