The clean up wasn’t bad no smell. And there was blood but it was just sad to see a fully developed chick. A beautiful chick just laying there as if it wanted to hatch.
hello so it was day 18 candled at day 16 everything seemed fine. But one exploded today and the other egg was dead as well. I have 7 more eggs at different stages and they where all still alive. And the only thing I can think of that killed these two where the change in temperature. I bought a...
Hi so I have been having multiple chicks not hatch. I checked on this one because it was hatch day just to check if it was fine and it was moving trying to pip came back 7 hours later no movement so I opened it up. Dead chick I finally took a picture of the inside of the shell. Does anyone know...
Yeah I agree it looks like one but it didn’t smell. Also when I first opened the air sack you know there is usually a white protective layer that creates the air cell and you have to break that to get to the chicken... well that was not there which I’ve never seen before
Today was hatch day so I candled to check if everything was alright. There was a lot of liquid and no sign of life I had to increase humidity for another chick that was having some hatching problems and she made it through. Other than high humidity killing the chick there is some green stuff...
She died last night. She was almost completely done absorbing the youlk and I raised the humidity and checked on her ever two hours to wet her membrane. She was just too weak... I feel like I should of helped her more out of the membrane.
She is still alive. Blood vessels are residing. She dose not have much energy tho.. one of my other eggs just started to hatch. I think she might be a day or two behind.. really hope she makes it. Thank you for your interest. I can take a picture of her now if you want to see the progression.
It was a bad judgment call. I’ve had so many eggs die right before hatching day. According to research they egg had no signs of it, the air sack was fine... I guess there is a reason why humans don’t lay eggs.
Thank you the chick is still a live and moving but what I am seeing is her back side. And possibly her head I’m not positive. Should I attempt to fine her beak?
So I’ve messed up and I feel horrible about it but I was worried the baby chick was going to drown. It should be hatch day so I candled one of my eggs to see what was going on (which I know is bad)and it looked as if the chick pipped into the air sack.. I paniced and carfully chipped at the air...
