I live in Chester, NY and am looking to *** 6 hens to my flock of 6 (1 roo and 5 ladies).
I'm looking for 2 Spanish (preferably female) chicks. I'm also looking for welsummers, easter eggers, and a bantam frizzle cochin :)
Update:
On Saturday night Gatsby, the original sick chicken had a semi-formed poop. She began moving around more and ate dried meal worms.
On Sunday she had 4 formed poops and ate some of her normal layer feed and a few meal worms. She roamed around even went up to the roosting pole to sleep...
I'm trying to find that information out. I'm going to speak with my vet on Monday morning about whether I can do both Corid and worming. The medication he gave me for her isn't working and I don't want her to be miserable.
This is what I found in regards to dosing for worms:

I also found this for Corid dosing:

I'm going to give them SafeGuard tomorrow.
Does anyone know about how long before they "should" return to normal? I just want to know how long I wait until trying something else if the SafeGuard doesn't work.
I'm sorry to keep bothering you, but how do I know the dosage to give of Safeguard? Also, what's the difference between Safeguard and Corid?
And thank you SOOOOOO much for your help!!!
She just pooped for the 4th time today and this time is was dark brown watery (previously it was more clear). She has been drinking the water with electrolytes and the water with probiotics.
Annabel, the 2nd chick with watery poop is still acting like normal. She's eating, drinking, and...
I thought albon would treat worms. If not, what else should I use? It is no1 1:15pm on day 4 and now she is not drinking or eating. She's been in the coop all day. Yesterday she at least went into the run, drank and are a teeny tiny bit, but today nothing. :(
He said he wanted to be safe just in case something manifests. This is day 4 of watery poop. She's been on the albon for 2 days. She's still not eating much (almost nothing) but is drinking. She's alert, but still maintaining her distance from the flock. She went in to roost at 7pm last night...
He has me treating only the two hens. He doesn't believe it's coccidia because the fecal float came back negative. Today I'm noticing that a 3rd hen (Roseline) is looking pale, but she is acting completely normal. I guess her paleness could be in my head as she is eating, drinking and roaming...
