    Yes we have four nesting boxes. Do I need to lock them in the coop at night ? A couple of the reds have slept outside for the past two nights. I am totally new to this so sorry if these are silly questions.

    I would like to try the DLM with my chickens, but have heard conflicting views on the use of diatomaceous earth. I have read the DE kills the beneficial microbes that decompose the manure. Anyone experienced with DLM using DE or not and why? Thanks!
