    We have 3 laying hens with 6 more close. All three were laying and then we left for 5 days on a trip. We left food and water and everything they would normally have when we were home.     So seperating the bully chick hasn't worked the way we hoped. He will immediately attack the young chick but maybe if I wait they will be ok. I hate that he's not able to just stay with his family but he's injuring the young chicks. Thanks for the responses!!

    We had to put the chick in timeout today, he's actually attacked one of the chicks to a point of causing bleeding and a wound. Will keep you updated on the progress.

    So I built these as I start my coop building. They are 3 fruit boxes on a backing and shelf like underneath. They are 12x12x16, any issues? Big enough? Thanks in advance, I know that I still have to build an angled top to keep them off of it an all. Just wondered you guys thoughts

    This is my nesting boxes. We have 6 chickens, I found on craigslist free fruit boxes so I created this. They are 12x16x16, any thoughts?

    I have started building the walls and floor. Going to be a 4x8 lean to style with about a 6 foot run attached. Any suggestions on anything is appreciated it's my first go at this kind of work, but here goes!!!!
