I partly by accident mixed an Americauna/Silkie mix bantum rooster with:
1. Americauna/Silkie mix
2. Buff Orpington
3. Easter Egger.
I've heard mixing mutts w/mutts is a bad idea. Why? Is it because of health reasons?

It's possible your hen went broody BECAUSE of the loss of her rooster. Chickens can absolutely get attached to each other and it's not uncommon for two hens who have grown up together to die within days of each other. They literally can die of a broken heart. In your case her eggs may be...
