    Duckling hatching

    I have a question regarding hatching. In what position should the egg be in the incubator when it’s time for lockdown? The incubator I have have the slots so that the eggs are upright... can ducklings hatch okay like this? Or should the egg be horizontal with the air sac end propped up a bit?

    Hi I’m on day 27 and I have noticed this shadow in the air sac, has the duckling pipped internally? I’m not seeing much movement or hearing anything... should I do a safety hole?

    Hi I have an update. The egg is on day 27 and I’m seeing this shadow on the air sac, there was quite a bit of movement in the last couple of days but now I’m not seeing much... should I be worried? Does this look normal?

    Ah that’s great to know! I was getting worried as I was looking up pictures and videos of other eggs and none seemed to look the same as the one I’ve got!

    I have been incubating a duck egg I found on Easter Sunday. It appears to be doing well and I have been seeing quite a lot of movement when I have candled it. However, the pointy end has quite a lot of free space and I’m not sure if this is a problem? There is an air sac at the rounded end. So...
