    How long do eggs last?

    I read that fresh eggs, you should wash them in hot running tap water. Also, if you have eggs that are older and don't want to throw them away, you can crack them and put each egg in a plastic ice tray, then use them later.

    Chick can't walk

    Thank you ro info on my chick. I don't know if I mentioned it but not being able to walk, naturally she just sits in one spot. I am keeping a close eye on all the other 14 chicks; 6 of the others are 1 week younger and seem fine also. thank you again.

    I do not have a picture. Her legs look normal. She just can stand up. I a floor in chicken house and put home cut oak chips on floor. On the outside of the coop, I have 1/2" hardware cloth. Thery are all doing well and have a great chicken coop. so far, she is the only one who has had this...

    Chick can't walk

    I have a 4 week old Barred Plymouth Rock that was fine and yesterday morning she couldn't walk or stand. She is eating well and I have sseperated her from rest of flock. Does anyone know if this is the "spratled leg" that I have read about? Any info is appreciated. Tks Angie....PS. Need info...

    Question about baby chicks....I am a newbie but all 12 of baby chicks are doing well, until this morning. It seems they have a little diahrrea. I am feeding them medicated chick crumbles and have been doing good. The lady at feed store said they could have dried toast bread slices, crumbled...

    Hi, my name is Angie. I just purchased a few Production Reds and I did research on them first and from what I have read, they are a mix of Rhode Island Reds and New Hampshire Reds. They are dual purpose breed, excellent egg production, anfd very friendly. Hope yours do good too.
