Hi Northern California Friends! I am a new chicken owner. We found our girl Annie living on a street corner in a bush about two weeks ago. I have been on here trying to figure out what breed she is. A few people have guessed that she is an Aseel, but feel free to give me suggestions if you think...

Ya I am assuming she is an Aseel at this point. She is starting to put on some weight which makes us very happy.

Thank you everyone for your help. It looks like Aseel is the popular answer for my Annie. From the pictures I've seen, she does seem to resemble one :)

Oh how interesting. I had no idea about that. I just assumed she somehow escaped someones backyard or something. She can't really fly though so we are assuming her wings have been clipped. I see you live close by, we live in Suisun :)

We found her living in a bush on a busy street. I don't know how long she was living there, but it looked like for a while. I think she is extra skinny because of that, but it could also be due to her breed.

We found her Monday night living in a bush on a street corner. She's missing some feathers on her back by her tail too. She's a sweetie too.
