Hey I got some swedish flower hen eggs from a man a while back and only one egg hatched. I'm fairly sure he's not a swedish flower. Google is telling me phoenix.what do you think??
So I did a full 7 days of coxoid. I then did 3 consecutive days of worming with fenbenazole and I'm not seeing immediate results. Should I be seeing immediate results. I've got roosting bars over a poop shelf that I clean everyday and I've had to put the pullets up every night so I know where...
Hey everyone. I Bought some pullets a couple of day ago. When putting them up on the roost last night I noticed that one was very very thin. She is a legbar x cuckoo maran and is fairly small.
I noticed her earlier that day drinking a lotbof water( it was fairly warm out) then spitting water...
I guessed as much. It's not red just pink 😂 all I have to compare him to is my little swedish flower chick who is nearly a week younger and has a much redder comb.
Any ideas what's going on with his toes? They are all getting crooked. I don't know whether I should be trying to straighte them...
Hi everyone I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this one 🙈 I've only got the one leghorn chick I just picked up one to keep a single swedish flower chick that hatched company so I have nothing to compare him to.
Comb is very obvious but hasn't turned red? Slightly pink but the little...
I done a dose of .5 per kg for 3 days. Do you think that was enough. Her poop definatly improved after it. I could do it for 5 days for her second dose 10 days later?
Thanks. That could be them. Seems to be no photos on google of what they look like in chicken poop. Have you any experience with them can they cause lasting damage to a hens digestive tract?
I've had chickens with round worms before and they are much bigger these worms are so small I probably wouldn't have seen these except it was in concrete and I saw them move when they first came out they are tiny and very thin.
I'm in Ireland. I've already dosed her with fenbenazole and her...
That's what i was thinking but I googled everything and I cant find anything exactly like them. I've treated with fenbenazole and her poop had returned to normal but still has the slow crop. I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with these worms before I'm wondering if they do damage to the...
Hi everyone.
Can anyone identify these worms? I've never seen them before. Poop was watery and res looking like they caused bleeding. Have since wormed and poo returned to normal but hens crop has been slow and now dealing with sour crop. Just wondering if the worms has anything to do with it...
*** Update *** Little squibley passed away about 3 weeks ago. No worms, no cocci just a very resistant strain of ecoli causing salpingitis. She was wrongly diagnosed by a vet as having kidney failure all those months ago because she wasn't responding to antibiotic just turns out it was resistant...
Hi I'm in Ireland and I have a sick hen who has stopped laying and crop is emptying slower than normal. It does still empty over night though. I assumed had a reproductive infection but after a couple of days treating with antibiotic and monitoring her she pooped in front of my on a concrete...
Infection is treatable surely and I'm hoping with a hormonal implant yo shut off the ovaries then infection should not keep occuring.
I will keep going with antibiotics for now as it does take a couple of days to see improvement. I am thinking of given anti inflammatory aswell. I hoping for a...
