Good article, covers most things going on with Chickens. However, I do have a question about my 2 Wyandottes. They are about 30 or so weeks old. They are raised together, one of them is laying, started about a week ago. the other one is not. How do I get #2 to start laying?
We have two SLW's about 19 weeks, not seeing any indication that they are
ready to start laying. It is a little warm here in the New Orleans area which

Thanks again for a informative article. I have your book and you have my
E-mail address. We presently have a small flock, one Barred Rock (4 years
old) ans a pair of Silver Laced Wyandotte', pullets actually about 4 months
old. We are in the process of introducing all 3 to each other, slow going...
We have a small flock, 3 hens in all. 1 Barred Rock, who has been with us about 3 years, and 2 Silver Laced Wyandotte Pullets 3 months old. We would
like to get them together but arent sure how they
will get along.
Saw the funniest thing on FaceBook earlier. A terrier type dog was trying to hold off a White Leghorn Roo, funny. My Grandfather (when I was a kid) owned a large flock of Leghorns...maybe several hundred...he was the egg
producer for a grocery store in town. Back then it was all manual labor...
