    Here are both the before and after pics. This is the change within about a week and a half. It does look like she may be molting a little.

    If she is molting it is a very minor molt. She was a very light gray as a chick and as an adult has always been a very light tan.

    I have a hen that was light tan color and hatched out 11 black chicks (probably barred rock mix) the hen now 8 weeks after hatching them out is changing color. Her feathers are slowly changing to dark brown and black. Any idea why?

    I have one hen that lays in a specific spot outside of the coop. Every morning when I let them out she runs to her spot and acts like she’s laying an egg, but there’s never an egg. Any ideas why? She’s 3 and been doing this for about four weeks.

    PUMPKIN.....you all just made me realize. We bought a giant pumpkin and the new chickens went crazy for it. They were eating it non stop.....,I could see where a pumpkin may taste "earthy"

    Yes, he gets chicken feed as his main diet, however, it is a layer feed. We have another rooster also that is fine. He also had a limping problem before this started. I did the eggs and vitamin E for awhile and that did go away. I don't know of any head injury. He does also scratch his head...
