    My Poor Chicken...Giant Egg

    My larger, mixed breed black chicken laid a giant egg today. It weighs 8 oz and is 4 1/2" long by 2" wide! I was in the barn while she was laying it. She made a lot of noise. I thought she was a flock of chickens! I am so surprised. This hasn't happened in the 18 years I have had chickens.
