Does anybody have any fertile hatching eggs? A friend needs two or three for a school project. Don't worry! Any chicks will be safely be home. I will gladly pay for them. East side preferred as the class is in Mesa.
Thanks!
Yes-- I made the straps shorter and the bag smaller intentionally. It's *very* simple to make. There are many "how to's" in the forum and online. Search for "feed bag tote" or the like. If you have a little experience with a sewing machine, it could be done in no time.
This sounds an awful lot like what my chickees had a few weeks ago. I only gave antibiotics to one and it didn't seem to make much of a difference. It seemed to run it's course through the whole flock with varying degrees of crustiness and sneezing. I didn't lose any, but was worried for a...
So, What are the chances?
I bought two polish chickens at the chicken show a few weeks ago. I was told at the time that they would "start laying soon." Today, both these chickens escaped the run through a tiny hole in the sunscreen--TWICE. I was running late for a meeting, so tossed them in...
I'll be interested to hear what responses you get. I had a young'un with similar symptoms a few weeks ago. I bought the antibiotic that was recommended, but it didn't seem to make a difference. In the end, I decided it was probably a virus, and tossed her back with the group. Everyone seems...
Anyone need the seed box? I'm ready to pass it along. I'm in phoenix, but heading up north to Page on Wednesday, so can deliver in Flagstaff or anywhere else along the way.
For those of you that don't know, it's a giant box full of nearly every kind of seed. Take what you need, leave a few...
Anybody know of a local source for chicken nipples?
... stop snickering. Chicken WATERING nipples?
I know I can buy them online, but hate to spend $7 on shipping for a $2 thing. Shoppers and Higley didn't have them.
I'll give that a try tomorrow. They have a heat lamp in the coop, but it has a red bulb... I bet white would be better for them. The new polish girls have the night time routine down pat!
I wish my little fluff bombs would learn to go to bed at night. They start squawking in a group when the sun gets low, then SCATTER when I get close to help them into the coop... I'm getting quite adept at catching flapping chicks!
