To refurbish a structure or start from scratch?

This structure (approx 30’x15”) is on our property and in-laws always used it to store wood. It has sturdy posts and a tin roof that needs a few improvements, but otherwise it is just bare bones. Would you try to refurbish this to be a fowl structure or start from scratch? Considering adding...

    Most docile large breed rooster?

It is a good point. Maybe I can just borrow one from a neighbor occasionally when we want fertile eggs 🤣 or just buy some.

    Most docile large breed rooster?

Although that is somewhat true, in my experience some breeds definitely have it on their lineage to be more docile than others.

    Most docile large breed rooster?

I will not be showing nor breeding for show qualities this time. I will likely have a mixed flock and they will be a source of eggs and possibly food in the future, but mostly just because I miss having birds around. Most docile large breed rooster?

I am preparing to start a small flock (6 or so). It has been many years since I had chickens and those were always specialty breeds and almost always show quality bantams. I am doing it for different reasons this time and will be doing standard chickens. I am curious what the best docile...

    Very sick baby! Help please??!!

Do you have any Gatorade or pedialyte in the house? If so, I’d put a little of that in a shallow dish and dip it’s beak in there, for starters.

Got cute pics of goslings, chicks, and ducklings? Funny stories?

Honestly I just cut them down a tiny bit around the top and then cut a little hole in the bottom part and slipped it over them. No specific way really. I tried it with older ones and they were NOT receptive. 😆

    Help im new to this

I do pine shavings and then put paper towels over that for the first day or two until they figure out to eat feed rather than shavings. Lol

    Help im new to this

I’ve always just used a 60w in a clip on desk lamp and made sure the sides are closed in to keep the heat in. They’ll move closer to the light as they need it and Vice versa.

Got cute pics of goslings, chicks, and ducklings? Funny stories?

A friend posted on my fb showing pics of chicks with what looked like skirts on...and asked me to try to recreate to brighten her day. So...this happened...

    Babies early. Worried about humidity.

I honestly would peel a little back with tweezers. Just a little at a time, but I know a lot don’t recommend that.
