    What is this gorgeous roo?

He's full blooded and was a free "rare" chick with purchase from the hatchery. I thought easter egger. It's hard to see in the pic but he has blue coming thru. He has like Red laced blue feathers on his chest, the opposite of a blue laced red Wyandotte.

    What is this gorgeous roo?

My mom got a free chick when ordering from Murray Mcmurray. We have no clue what he is, other than gorgeous. Slate legs. It looks like Red lacing over blue feathers. This photo is not Photoshopped.

    Lavender Orpington Thread!

What do people do with their extra lavender roos? We only have 16 hens and 10 roos! No one seems to want them and they are so handsome and nice, I dont want them to become dinner.

I am sure many others have this issue too, but we have too many roos. We need to get rid of a few. They are Lavender English Orpington cockerels. $20 each and we have 4 or 5. Located in Southern Maryland (Waldorf). We are ready for them to have a new home. Super friendly and beautiful but we...

Lavender Orpington x Barred Rock Cross?

I was wondering if anyone out there has any pictures of a lavender orp crossed with barred rock or what it might look like? We have 10 barred rock hens and have added in some lavender Orpington chicks. They will all be in the same coop and we are almost certain that the egg colors will be too...

    Charles County, MD

I've called around before and no one could give me an answer. Even if there is a law, I garuntee it isn't enforced, because no one has the answer. I think it only becomes a problem when you have neighbors and a rooster. If I remember correctly, I was told I could have 2 birds and I have about...

Hey there! I have 9 chicks that i need to rehome. They are around 2 weeks old now. Located in Waldorf. Unsure of the sex and breed. My belief is they are buff orps, white rocks, and white orps. They are all friendly but we are sticking to lavender orps. $25;for all. $3 each.

Day 21 with no pips - just seeing if I forgot to do something for the babies.

7/35 with quite a few pips going! Today is day 23 so i bet it was a slightly low temp causing them to hatch slowly.

My air cells look similar but maybe slightly smaller. I do not have a fan for it. Does it make a big difference?
