my daughter had two ducklings who we lost to a neighbors dog this morning. she doesn’t know yet, and i am scrambling to find two to hopefully swap out without her knowing the sad truth. if anyone can direct me or give me any advice on finding these i would appreciate it

Yikes Well maybe I'll just keep babying her and hope she snaps out of it. We didn't plan on getting more chickens after these two went. And if new ones won't help there isn't much point to it. :(
I'm in Chillicothe Ohio. If anyone would adopt her that would be great too. She is an amazing layer. Such a sweetheart. Will run up to us and wait on us at the door in the mornings.
I would think she would be fearful.. she does try to come in the front door. And I allow her the oppurtunity although I'm not sure what I would do if she accepted the invitation. Haha but she seems to be wreckless by not going to the coop and even coming out of it at night time to roam he same...

oh GOD. I'm sorry :( I have zero advice as I've been extremely lucky to not have any illness/injuries/predation with our free rangers. I'd probably take her to a vet? do vets even do chickens? yeeeesh. :( poor thing.
