    November 16th Hatch Day - 5 hatched - DONE

    "Black Pearl" seems unaffected by the heating element injury on day 2. He's been tracking me tonight with the eye that had been shut yesterday and it seems to be perfectly fine. I believe he lucked out and just irritated the tissue below his eyelid. So, that's good news!

    Live Chick Cam in West Michigan!

    I've swapped out webcams and this one is sitting right in the pool with them. I figure I am only out ~$10 if they peck the heck out of the lens. So far, they find the new 'large eye' very interesting. They have been pecking at it quite a bit too. They eventually get bored and then fall asleep...

    Chicken #5 has hatched but seems to have a crooked leg. I'm keeping a running picture collection over on my Facebook account: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=43986&l=ccb9d&id=782073680 MichiganWoods and I suspect #6 will hatch over night.
