    Help! Pullet or Roo????

Confirmation! My husband was outside this morning and all 3 suspected cockerels were crowing! The loudest is our bantam. Anyone in South West or South Austin interested in sweet cockerels? I would love a farm where they can have their own ladies and live out their lives and not be in a...

    Help! Pullet or Roo????

Thanks you so much for your feedback. I am so sad that my bantam is a cockerel! 3 out of 7 is not a good ratio when they were all supposed to be pullets! Anyone else want to comment? All feedback is appreciated. I have to find homes for my cockerels. I can't keep them; I wish I could!

FREE Salmon Faverolle Cockerel to Good Home Massachusetts

He is being raised with 3 barred rock pullets. We are not going to keep any of our chicks. We hatched for the joy of the project and when only he hatched I purchased the 3 rocks so he'd have friends. Could you take all 4? I do have a home for the hens if you don't want the 4. It would be...

FREE Salmon Faverolle Cockerel to Good Home Massachusetts

Our only successful hatch out of 7 eggs turns out to be a boy. We can't keep him in my town. He has been handled and very well cared for so I would like for him to go to a good home vs dinner plate. He is 5 weeks now and we'd give him up at the beginning of April. We live 20 miles west of...

    Massachusetts!

I live 20 miles west of Boston. I would love to connect with some MA chicken lovers. I have 5-7 weeks old chicks. We hatched 1 Salmon Faverelle (he/she is the only one of 7 to hatch). When we only had one hatch, I made a mad dash to Salem, NH and purchased 3 barred rock 'hens' so my...

My first hatch. On day 22 only one of my 7 hatched (and he hatched today)

I need some advise, please. Only 1/7 hatched and there is no activity or movement from the remaining 6 eggs and today is day 22. We had candled (as best we could) on day 17 and it seemed as if all the eggs had developed similarly. Some other details. When he hatched he was stuck to part of the...

Requesting an update about the performance for owners of The Urban Coop Company coops

Several people on this list commented that they purchased a coop from the Urban Coop company. Will you please provide feedback about your experience with it? I now live in MA and although it has been a mild winter so far, that is not often the case. I am concerned about extreme cold, the open...

Anyone have experience with Urban Chicken Coop Company?

Would you provide an update on your Urban Coop as you have had it almost a year? Likes, dislikes, any improvements or changes you made? Looking to get one this spring but will have hard winters in MA. Thanks!
