Incubation humidity questions
My last lot of 43 eggs were incubated dry from start to finish, with all hatched and perfect except 2 eggs which didn't pip with fully developed chicks dead inside. Here in Melbourne Australia, towards winter soon as humidity in incubator was 35%. When they hatched humidity went up to the... -

Inside of a Fertile Japanese Quail eggs
Thought to share these pics to show the inside of a Fertile Japanese Quail egg. A white ring (bulls eye) is what u are looking for which can be seen in the pics. After 3 days or so of incubation when candling you will see red blood veins forming, if you don't and it glows like a light bulb... -
Can you see if quail eggs are fertile?
All my eggs I collect are fertile, so here is a few photos I just taken FYI. Not easy to focus, had to manual focus my phones cam to take these. Hope it's clear enough. Do. Note the lights reflection which is a shiny spot.. A pose to the white ring which is the sign of a fertile egg...
