    Fall/winter feed

Found that the feed maker I have been getting feed from also makes 20% starter with no soy. Currently have been feeding them no soy no corn 16% organic feed. I buy it through Allgrass farms, but the producer is Cashton Farm Supply. I havent been told the price yet, but the current feed is $25...

    Fall/winter feed

Does anyone make a non-soy 20% starter that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Kalmbach still doesn't make a starter that is high protein, organic, and non-soy. $66 for a bag is too rich for me when I have a flock of 31 currently, but will be reduced down to 19 soon enough.

I have tried on the IL rehoming thread and Facebook marketplace also with no results. I live in Chicago but I wouldn't mind traveling given it isn't too far out...

GMO soy and corn in chicken feed? Discussion

What are you expecting? For GMO to hit you in the back of the head and realize instantly? Same with MRNA. Cancer rates have been exploding and people had reactions within a week. What do I know?! I only see the VAERS. Don't even look at the death rate in the VAERS related to the covid shot.

    Fermented feed issue?

I started fermented about 2-3 weeks ago and I use Scratch and Peck. Since it has been cold here in IL, I drain the liquid and throw it in the ground for them to eat. I also feed them Scratch and Peck BSF. Recently out of 8 eggs, only one had a deep orange color. Production is good at 8-10 eggs a...

Elevated garden bed over chicken run

Yes, the run is 2 feet wide due to living in the city and tight quarters but made it work somehow. There are 2 parts to the run. One part is 6ft tall, 10ft long, and 6ft wide that I can get into to give food and replace the wood chips in that run. In the 2 feet wide portion, I lift up the...

Elevated garden bed over chicken run

I currently have a run that is 2' wide, 25' long and 3' high. Due to limited gardening space (used to garden the area of the current run), I was thinking of building an elevated raised bed or a couple of them attached together to gain some space back. Any ideas pr precautions to watch out for...
