    Thanks for the suggestion! Two of the hens were right next to each other on their nests. The one that looked like she was trying to kill the egg, well (she was one of the two) I took her out of the coop and locked it back up so there's only two hens and they're at opposite ends of the coop...

    Thanks for the advice! You all are great! I've got some eggs saved up to let sit and will check again in a day or so. The ones we had for breakfast this morning looked more promising so that's a good thing too. Our rooster is 8 months old. So are the girls. Thanks again!

    My gut feeling is that none of these are fertile but I'm hoping one of you with more experience sees something I dont! Thank in advance! We're eager to get our first incubation going.

    Both my silkies just turned out to be roosters. One had been crowing for about a month, the other just started today. I had a couple threads going on here to help figure out the sex and everyone thought they were BOTH pullets. Best advice is that you just won't know until they either start...
