Introducing young ducks to the rest of the flock

I have several "sets" of ducks: 3 ducks in 2 sets, 2 in 1 set, 4 in 1 set, and the newest having 8 (I say sets, it is actually each group as we got or hatched them) ranging from 3 years old to a little over a month old. All free range during the day and go into their own enclosures at night...

    Hatching

Yes and it looked to have hatched about 30 minutes before I got home Now Babble is quite unhappy with the accommodations but isn't dry and fluffy yet so she/he is just smacking the head against the top trying to stand up...Dawdle is still pretty much just flopping around. Ichiban, the chick...

    They Hatched!

Ok so I thought I was only going to have one duckling hatch and I was blessed to have 2 hatch. We now have a Babble and a Dawdle (Dawdle is the one who pipped first but hatched last). Hatching

If you mean mine, the first one pipped some time between 5:45 and 6:45 this morning. The second one just pipped right before my post. The one in the pic is the first one, and this evening about an hour before I took the pic it was poking it's beak almost all the way out.

    Hatching

Thanks for the info....was the from pip to zip part I was wondering about Have seen the beak almost come totally out but then it took a nap, now it has moved to pecking over from the hole it made back under the membrane at the edge of the shell. Hoping that means it is trying to break more...

    Hatching

Miss Lydia, You said ducks take longer than chicks to hatch. Can you expand on that? I am a total newbie to incubators, our chickens were doing just fine themselves until they decided to turn on the chicks. So we decided to get an incubator and hatch some chickens. Then my favorite duck...
