ISO Chicken Genetics 101 - So Confused

I understand what The Moonshiner is saying, you can't learn this all at once. But still it is nice to have a starting point, I remember how it was when I started looking at all the info and symbols. So I will try and get you started. This will be a simplified version, covering color only, so if...

    Golden neck d'Uccle

If I remember right that page is from Aus. The people I have talked to there tell me they don't have dominate white so all their goldnecks are splash millies.

ISO Chicken Genetics 101 - So Confused

There is a book available at amazon called "A Introduction To Color Forms of the Domestic Fowl" by Brian Reeder that explains the basics really well and is easy to understand. It even goes through the 5 e-locuses and lists the varieties found on them and gives the genes that make up each variety.

    Golden neck d'Uccle

Goldneck is milliefleur with dominate white. Splash millie is a way to make a bird that looks close but is not entirely correct.

Help with possible Campine x Polish breeding project

Breeding to black will work, you should get some chicks with a vaulted skull. Breed the vaulted skull chicks back to campine. Select from these chicks for color and crests and go from there. This way I think would result in less junk birds than an F1 cross.

They both could be goldnecks the pictures aren't good enough for me to see mottling. But if they have white spots at the end of the redish feathers they are goldnecks for sure. The first one may have mottling in the wing bows but I can't say for sure.

I think you got 2 whites with some red leakage. The second one almost looks like a red pyle but for his tail to be that white he should be cleaner in the breast, that is what makes me think hes white.
